COVID-19 Enhanced SAfety Measures

Effective May 1, 2020, the American Dental Association recommends that it is no longer advisable to continue postponement of preventive care and treatment for early dental disease, and the Illinois Department of Public Health is no longer requiring postponement of elective surgery.  As our office resumes comprehensive oral health care, we will continue and enhance our universal precautions to ensure the safety of all patients and staff.

Any patient who has had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient or who has a fever and/or COVID-19/flu symptoms themselves, will be required to reschedule their appointment until after they have been asymptomatic for 14 days.

All persons entering our office over the age of 2 must wear a face covering. Only one visitor may accompany a patient to their appointment. Before all treatments patients must rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide mouthwash. All common areas will continue to be disinfected at a higher frequency.   There will be no periodicals in the waiting area. Staff will be wearing enhanced personal protective equipment. And when necessary, patients will be asked to remain in their cars, and will be called or texted when their operatory is ready for them.

As always, we are committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and staff as well as your families. We understand this is a concerning time, but as your oral health is critical to your overall health, we remain here for you.

Be well,

Megan N Gray DDS
